SEIU Members at Delaware County Courthouse Ratify Union Contract

Workers at the Delaware County Courthouse overwhelmingly approved a collective bargaining agreement covering their terms of work until December 31, 2026. Members of SEIU Local 668 ratified a contract that includes a 21% raise in starting wages and substantial increases in compensation for more senior workers. Delaware County Council approved the contract on January 17.

“This contract is a tremendous win for workers at Delaware County’s Courthouse.  The members stood strong throughout negotiations, and we were able to win a strong, fair contract that respects the work our members do every day“, stated SEIU Local  668 Business Agent Mel Drayton.

SEIU Local 668 represents workers in the Domestic Relations Department, Adult and Juvenile Probation, and Bail officers. These union members at the Delaware County Courthouse are essential workers who are a vital part of the judicial system, critical to ensuring the safety of our community and resolving conflict.

This contract is an incredible win for workers with substantial wage increases, expanded access to paid leave, and strong job security protections. Last year, Delaware County Children and Youth Services workers, also represented by Local 668, ratified a contract with an initial $10,000 across-the-board raise, plus bonuses and additional personal days.
