Every three years, in accordance with our constitution, SEIU Local 668 holds elections for our union leadership positions which include President, Secretary-Treasurer, Trustees, Chapter Chairs, and Statewide representatives of work committees.
Candidates for President, Secretary-Treasurer, and Trustee can submit one written statement and a link to one video for posting to the SEIU 668 website. You can find the candidate statements here.
SEIU Local 668 has mailed out a notice of our internal elections process and timeline. To encourage our members participation in running for these offices as well as voting for our future's leaders, this mailing provides all our members with the details about the nominating and election procedure, along with a nominating petition. Candidates may begin gathering nomination petition signatures on Monday, August 14, 2023.

SEIU 668 Statewide Candidate Nights
Our statewide internal elections are currently underway, when members elect our union's leadership.
Statewide candidate nights will be held starting Wednesday, September 20, to provide members the opportunity to meet the candidates running for election. These twelve candidate nights will be a mix of in-person and online, and any dues-paying member can attend any candidate night (as well as multiple candidate nights).
Each Candidate Night will have the same general agenda: The meeting will open with candidates running for statewide office (President + Secretary-Treasurer), then move to candidates running for Trustee, followed by candidates running for that specific Chapter’s chair position, and end with statewide work committee candidates.
To ensure there are no interruptions or distractions, all non-candidate participants at these events will be muted or asked not to talk.
SEIU 668 dues-paying members are welcome to attend any Candidate Night across the state. Each virtual candidate night will have different meeting information, so prior registration is required for all meetings.
If you would like to attend any of the virtual candidate nights, please check the dates and times below and complete that chapter’s RSVP form. All members requesting to attend will have their dues status confirmed, and will be provided with that day’s candidate night information at 4PM via email.
