(HARRISBURG) An overwhelming majority of workers at the County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) have recently approved a new collective bargaining agreement covering employment terms from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026. Customer service representatives and van drivers at COLTS are represented by SEIU Local 668.

The contract includes a 16.5% wage increase over three years, longevity bonuses, and faster wage progression for new hires. The agreement also moves up paid vacation and increases training pay, and the full-time driver complement.

“With this contract, workers can be confident that these jobs and training opportunities can be family-sustaining careers. Experienced drivers and transit workers are an asset for better public service for residents of Lackawanna County,” stated SEIU 668 business agent Chris Ellis.
