(DOYLESTOWN/HARRISBURG) After nine months without a contract despite more than a year of contract negotiations, hundreds of Bucks County workers will be going on strike on Friday, September 20. Union members rejected the last contract proposal with more than 99% voting 'No'.
Bucks County has insisted on large cuts to workers' health benefits. Union members have been mobilizing in workplaces across Bucks County, holding informational pickets, and addressing multiple County Commissioners’ Meetings. At the last bargaining discussion on September 11, workers formally notified Bucks County of their intent to strike later this month when no agreement was reached.

SEIU Local 668 represents around 500 workers employed by numerous Bucks County agencies, including 911, Children and Youth Services, the Area Agency on Aging, and the IT Department, as well as Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol support, Early Intervention, and Developmental Programs.
