We want to remind our Commonwealth members about the date of the pay raises from the new contract. Depending on your pay date, the raises will be implemented on December 8 and December 15. Since not all members are paid on the same day, your implementation date will vary.

Under Act 100 of 2016, Pennsylvania’s Independent Fiscal Office (IFO) is required to conduct a wage contract analysis and provide it to the PA State Legislature for a 30-day review period. The IFO analysis of your contract was provided to the State Legislature on September 29. The Summary of Contract Changes was signed on September 22, and the formal contract was signed on October 23.

Again, we wish the raises could have been implemented earlier, but the turnaround time follows the timeline of our 2019 contract. Due to each Local having a different ratification process, we understand AFSCME members have received their raises. All members will receive pay retroactive to the first day of the contract (July 1, 2023) and any increases in expenses owed.
