After weeks of member pushback, SEIU 668 received word that Northampton County would not move forward with furloughs this year.

Press Conference Wednesday, October 22, 2025 | 12:00 PM SEIU Local 668 members who work in public assistance offices will call on Federal legislators and the White House to end the government shutdown and urge the General Assembly to pass a state budget.

Our 2025 Endorsed CandidatesSEIU Local 668 represents nearly 20,000 public, social, and human services workers. Approximately half of our members are employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and another 9,000 work for the municipal, county, and private employers across the state.
